Training-cum-Workshop on Managing Stress and Time

Centre for Capacity Building (CECAB) has organized a full day the Training-cum-Workshop on Managing Stress and Time, exclusively for twenty faculty members of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences (CBEAS). The program was undertaken at Hotel Pacific Pvt. Ltd., Kantipath, Kathmandu on 21 March 2015.

The main purposes of the training workshop were: to develop conceptual understandings about stress and time management; to enable the participants in identifying and figure out the individual weaknesses and missing of stress and time management from being failure in future career; to enable the participants using techniques and approaches to manage stress and time efficiently and effectively; and to prepare strategic steps for managing stress and time for the future.

The main coverage of the program were: Stress Management: Concepts, Issues and Approach; Techniques and Process of Time Management; and Managing Stress for Mental Balance and Creativity.

As the program was entirely focused on making it more demand-driven in terms of having benefits of the participants, individual quarries of participants were thoroughly discussed and analyzed during the sessions.

At the end of the training workshop, certificates of participation were awarded to the participants and they expressed that eventhough the duration of the program was too short, they got better opportunities to learn many interesting knowledge and skills in stress and time management, which were obviously useful for their practical life and future careers.

Nonetheless, the program was organized first time for the college of this type.

Sharing and Discussions Meeting of Professionals on Current Issues

Centre for Capacity Building (CECAB) has organized a Sharing and Discussions Meeting of Professionals on Current Issues on 21 February 2015 at Hotel Pacific, Kathmandu. The purpose of that high level meeting was to update knowledge and information for individual and collective benefits; and to develop social and professional networking for positive change and development.

The participants in the meeting were senior executives, national planners, high level subject experts and professionals, senior consultants and trainers from government, semi-government and non-government institutions. They were former Chief Election Commissioner, Ex- Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission, Ex-Chief Secretary of the Government, Ex-AIG of Nepal Police, Senior Archeologist of Nepal, Ex-Zonal Commissioner, Professor of Institute of Engineering, Former Senior Director of Nepal Administrative Staff College, Professor of Culture (Tribhuvan University), Chairman of Electricity Tariff Fixations Commission and Centre Chief of CECAB.
